Reality sets in as the US make efforts to rebuild trust with Egypt’s newly elected president Mohamed Morsi. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton sat down with Morsi to patch things up, knowing too well that the Muslim Brotherhood have deep suspicions about the US. For now it’s all about small talks and taking baby steps to building a more conducive relationship with Egypt.
In spite of the Muslim Brotherhood’s continued skepticism toward the US, Clinton sat down with Morsi ready to amend what has been a somewhat volatile relations with Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood.
At the end of the day all what the US hopes is to forge a healthy relation with Egypt.
