mirror

The mirror on the wall

Reflects an image of a girl

I used to know

Some ten summers ago

When her eyes glowed like fire

With visions of tomorrow

The girl in the mirror

Wears a gloomy look

Her face once radiate like the orange sun

Now bears lines and wrinkles

Of harsh ten winters

And a sullen tenfold fall

Adieu, to the girl I used to know

The girl in the mirror is like

A withered leaf

Her skin so frail

Her eyes so dark

Her voice so faint

Her path so thorny for her limp feet to walk on

The girl in the mirror treads in the shadows

Of once upon a time

The story that breathes rotten air

Into her still body

For her sunny and spring days are nothing

But a memory of yesterday
